I've been a user of Tiscali
Broadband for about four months, and I signed up for the
unlimited 512kb package. The packages available have now
changed and they all have still have a great price ranging
from £14.99 to £19.99 a month, and all packages now include
no download limit with free modem and free connection. I needed a package that included
unlimited downloads and free phone calls, so I chose Tiscali. I was already a user of their dial up service and I was
already pleased with the efficiency of this service so I
thought this could be carried over into their other
services. Tiscali is a well-respected and reputable company
and I haven't really had any problem with connection or
download speeds.
Basically it s great offers with quality customer
services.

Computers are becoming more advanced and people
have to keep up to speed with these things.
Different parts of the computer are becoming
more amazing for example the games on computers
are becoming more detailed and graphics have
improved. But there is a service now called the
internet. Like most things on the computer this
too is becoming more advanced. If you are
keeping up to speed on IT you may have
the internet in fact you have got the internet
or access to it if you are reading this review.
There are two different types of internet the
older version which some of you may have also
known as dial-up or as technology has improved
you may have the faster version called broadband
either way they both do the same thing but
broadband is better because it is a lot lot
faster.
*-*-* Different companies that supply broadband.

As you may have noticed from the title of the
review I am writing this on tiscali broadband
but tiscali are not the only company that supply
broadband. There's other companies with little
differences like if you take the example of
Pepsi and coke-cola they both have the same
thing really, a great tasting drink but they have
little differences. It's the same with broadband
they all supply it but with differences.
Although there are different companies they all
have specific needs for example if you take the
most popular broadband supplier [which is BT]
you may ring them up but you may be in an area
where BT is not available, this was our case and
so we went for the next cheapest which was tiscali which we are very satisfied. Another
popular need for broadband is a BT phone line
obviously you need this if you are going to be
with BT but Tiscali allows various different
phone line suppliers.
-*-*- Delivery of tiscali broadband -*-*-
After you have checked that you have the right
factors then you are ready to order the tiscali
broadband package. There are a few ways of
ordering this if you have the slower internet
connection then you can purchase it online or
you can use the standard way of the telephone
whichever you chose I'm sure it will work
perfectly, we chose to do it over the interent and
to be honest it couldn't be easier. Once you
have ordered it should take about a week to come
through which is reasonably quick because the BT
package is 2 weeks.
-*-*- Setup of broadband -*-*-
When you have received the package you will get
an external modem for free, cat 5 cable {broadband wire},
phone/internet cable and an instillation CD.
That is what you get and that is all you need it
comes in a very small package which is very
useful
Ok, at that's all you need to get you going with
the package, you would put in
the CD - ROM before you done anything else. This
is what we did and from then on anyone could
setup broadband even the dumbest person in the
world because the CD does everything for you all
you have to do is the practical stuff it
couldn't be simpler.
Once you have setup the practical stuff its time
for all of the usernames and passwords and again
this couldn't be easier, once you are registered
with tiscali they send you a username and
password. These are normally complicated
passwords but you
can change them with ease. And again this
couldn't be easier to process. If you have had
the internet before you may know that it might
be a right kafuffle setting the whole up and if
you have been through this once before then you
don't have to do it again when you upgrade to
faster
broadband. If you haven't had
the internet before and you are going straight
to broadband then you might have to play about
with the settings but you will still find the
whole process very easy.
-*-*- I'm ready for broadband! -*-*-
After you have passed few minutes setting up
our broadband and you actually have it working,
you can enjoy the pleasure of surfing the
internet with tiscali broadband, and tiscali do
all they can to help you. Once you have
registered with tiscali {which you already have
because you are on the web.} You will be honored
with your own tiscali e-mail address which would
be something like; yourname52@tiscali.co.uk,
also when you get the broadband package and your
e-mail you have a fair amount of inbox space.
-*-*- The prices -*-*-
Tiscali are very reasonable with their prices
and this is one factor of why we chose tiscali
as our ISP. The price we pay is £17.99 per month
and that is with no download limit and that is
to go on 24/7.But you can now be connected for
only
£14.99 per month.This is a very great price for
broadband seen as how BT has the same price but
they have a download limit. If you choose to go
with tiscali you may find that the customer
services are a little too nice maybe that s
because they are still fairly new in the UK
market, but I think that the way customer
service should be so I enjoy it.
-*-*- My conclusion -*-*-
I think that you cant really have much of a
conclusion because at the end of the day they
all do the same thing and provide a great
broadband service but tiscali are really great
because of the quickness of the delivery and
service and for the very friendly staff at
customer services and that's why I would
recommend tiscali as your ISP!
